TCNJ Employee Child Expense Policy
Students attending the Career and Community Studies Certificate Program (School of Education) satisfy their student fee responsibility within their per semester general fee structure. (F2010-11 $10,000.00 per semester) However, if a student is exempt from paying the general fee per semester for attending the program, the student will be responsible for the equivalent of the student fees that are equal to those required of any typically matriculated undergraduate students.
Those fees have been calculated at $2,104.50 per semester for the 2010-2011 school year.
The CCS faculty/staff child fee waiver program works as follows:
- The dependent children of a TCNJ employee who has been employed full-time by TCNJ for five (5) years shall be eligible for a program fee waiver within the CCS program.
- Students must be a dependent child of the employee based upon IRS definitions.
- Employee children must meet criteria for admission to the program.
- CCS students normally pay a program fee that includes the equivalent of standard TCNJ fees. For each term enrolled, children of employees in the CCS progam will receive a waiver of the typical CCS program fee and will be expected to pay an amount equivalent to standard TCNJ fees.
- Since there is an expectation of May and June study, the fee waiver will apply to Fall, Spring and Summer terms for four contiguous years. Students who experience a significant disruption in their studies will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.
- This program fee waiver is subject to funding availability, and is available to TCNJ employees on a first come, first served basis.
